Jean Grad IDJean Lim is a psychotherapist, coach and trainer. Her goal is to help people and organizations maximize their potential by addressing personal, professional, and interpersonal concerns. Before her career shift, she had over 20 years of experience as an information technology manager and consultant in large organizations. With this unique combination of experiences, Jean can help companies integrate “high-tech” and “high-touch” through training programs, coaching, and counseling.

Jean loves to creatively develop and conduct learning experiences that are meaningful and fun.  Her workshops are highly interactive, with lots of role-plays and group exercises. She stresses the importance of follow-up to ensure that participants integrate what they learned into their lifestyle. She usually provides pre-workshop diagnostics, homework assignments and post-workshop support.

Jean established PowerVision Counseling Services in March 2004. With a team of counselors and consultants, she is currently operating the Employee Assistance Program for Accenture and other companies to help their employees deal with personal and work-related problems through counseling and coaching.  She mostly uses solution-focused brief therapy and cognitive behavioral techniques to help people deal with issues such as stress, anger, depression, life transitions, relationship problems, leadership challenges, and many others. She has also helped people cope with trauma, crisis and grief, and has conducted Critical Incident Stress Debriefing for groups.

Jean has assumed various roles in the information technology field for about 20 years, as a line manager, consultant, vendor and technical support person. Her work experience has exposed her to many industries, including manufacturing and distribution, sales and marketing, retail services, academic research, financial services, and government. She has worked in small, local companies as well as large international organizations with more complex structures and more challenging political and cultural environments.

These experiences enable Jean to quickly understand the corporate environment in which employees operate, allowing her to add relevant insights to her interventions. She is not only able to cater to the needs of each individual she helps, but she is also able to bring an organizational perspective for management.

Jean has a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling, with honors, from the Alliance Graduate School, and a B.S. Hotel and Restaurant Administration from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
