Ma. Alegria Sibal-Limjoco, Francorp’s dynamic and gracious CEO, is considered the first ever Filipino and first Asian to earn the Certified Franchise Executive. Bing, as she is known, took the Mini-MBA on Franchise Management at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, USA, and at the Asian Institute of Management, which are accredited by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives USA (ICFE).
A two-termer President of Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) and chairperson of Philippine International Franchise Conference Expo (PIFCE), she has represented the PFA in various international franchise events including the World Franchise Council Meetings and International Franchise Conference and Expo. She was the overall chairperson of Franchise Asia 2001, held in Manila on September, 2001. And for the second time, she is the Overall Chairperson for the Franchise Asia 2011, as she was on the successful holding of Franchise Asia 2001, to be held at SMX Convention Center on September 19-25, 2011 hosted by the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA). She is the governor of the National Book Development Board since 2004.
Her family owns Phoenix Publishing and Sibs Publishing, one of the largest textbook publishers in the country today. She was awarded as one of Go Negosyo’s “Filipina Starpreneurs” and was recognized by its founder, Mr. Joey Concepcion III, as someone who has ‘’positive, enterprising mindset, passion and innovative skills who is able to gracefully balance life, family, pursuits, and service to community”.
Bing has also recently won in the first ever Womanity Awards by FemaleNetwork.com (under Summit Media, publisher of The Entrepreneur Magazine) for the Business Sector which seeks to honor Filipina women of outstanding accomplishments who have inspired by using their talents, skills, resources, and abilities to succeed in their fields, help others, and make a difference in today’s society.
